Springbank Hill is a large and diverse suburb in the SW quadrant of Calgary bounded to the north by 17 Avenue, to the south by Glenmore Trail, to the east by 69 Street SW and to the west by 93rd Street. It is part of the larger area known as the Westside and contains a number of distinct subdivisions including Springborough, Summit of Montreux, Springbank Hill, Anatapi and Spring Valley. Many areas of Springbank Hill have views of the Elbow River Valley, foothills and Rocky Mountains.
Springbank Hill is sometimes confused with the much older unincorporated rural community of Springbank, located to the west of the city in Rocky View County. Springbank Hill was established in 1999, on land annexed to the City of Calgary in 1994.
Other popular residential areas in the Westside include the gated community of The Slopes immediately west, Discovery Ridge along the Elbow River to the south and Aspen Woods to the north.
